  • We worked with the 3 GNVQ awarding bodies to produce a document on the protocols of external verification, leading to a harmonised approach.
• 1994 Flexibility in NVQs - Towards a 'Mandatory and Options' Approach
  •  We investigated the views of employers on the need for greater flexibility in NVQs and assessed the level of support for a 'mandatory and options' approach.
• 1994 Quality Assurance Audit of the Horse Industry
  • Through interviews and discussions with key organisations and centres, and an examination of materials, we reviewed the awarding body quality assurance systems within the horse industry.
• 1994 Quality Assurance Monitoring of Awarding Body Assessor and Verifier Awards
  • We reviewed the centres approved to offer the D32-34 assessor and verifier units to examine quality assurance systems and identify good practice.
• 1993 Finalising The NCVQ 1993 Common Accord
• We consolidated the findings from working groups, consultations and other sources to produce a publishable document describing the main features of the Common Accord.
• 1993 Project to Examine Awarding Body Guidance on Assessor and Verifier Awards
•  We examined awarding body guidance on the implementation of assessor and verifier units compared with the guidance issued by NCVQ.
• 1993 Action Planning and the National Record of Achievement
• We co-ordinated the results from a major national consultation on action planning - and produced a report with case studies.
• 1991/2 NCVQ Review Of Reports
  • We reviewed and summarised the contents of 4 awarding bodies' reports evaluating quality assurance mechanisms - we encapsulated the main findings and produced a working paper.
